Shushu suddenly shook violently in Kudo Yuki's pocket: "Xiaoxue! There is an infrared alarm device in the southwest vent!"

She immediately reached out to stop Conan and took out a miniature detector from her waist.

On the screen, dense red dots of light flashed at the vents, forming a tight protective net. "It's the winery's newly developed dynamic infrared system. The slightest touch will trigger an alarm."

Conan's eyes lit up, and he pulled out a small electromagnetic pulser from his pocket: "This is a new development by Haibara Ai, it should be able to temporarily interfere with infrared rays."

He pointed the pulser at the vent and pressed the start button.

The red light began to flash violently.

Kudo Yuki took the opportunity to throw out the zipline and entangle the opposite pipe support. She led Conan through the infrared area, and the moment they landed, Shu Shu's voice sounded again: "Be careful! There is an ambush in the left pipe!"

Kudo Yuki instinctively rolled sideways, and three flying knives grazed her shoulders and nailed into the wall.

A low laugh was heard from the pipe, and a man in black wearing a gas mask slowly walked out, the blade in his hand glowing with a faint blue light.

"You really took the bait." The man in black raised his knife and pointed the tip of the knife at the two men. "Lord Rum had expected that you would track down the mine, so he set a trap here."

Conan clenched the gears with his fingertips, the sound of metal turning mixed with the rhythm of his breathing, and he quietly went to the blind spot of the man in black.

Kudo Yuki bent her knees slightly and pretended to stagger, her black hair falling like a curtain, just covering the cold and sharp light in her eyes. At the moment when the blade fell, she twisted her body and waist, and the flying rope nimbly broke through the air and accurately entangled the opponent's artery.

"Got it!" Conan lowered his voice. The moment the football launcher popped out, Kudo Yuki had already used the force to jump up, and the sole of her boot brushed past the face of the man in black.

The inflatable football smashed towards the target with the sound of wind, and there was a muffled sound from the back of the neck mixed with the sound of bones dislocating. Before the man in black fell to the ground, she had already removed the force of his grip on the knife and pressed her knee against his back to suppress him.

"Tell me! What kind of ambush is there in the mine?" Kudo Yuki grabbed the black-clothed man's wrist and asked sternly.

The man in black sneered: "Do you think you can break through the defense so easily? The entrance to the mine has three traps, and the interior is full of explosives. Even if you get in by chance, don't expect to come out alive."

Conan squatted down and searched the black-clothed man's pocket for an encrypted USB drive: "Sister, this might be useful."

He quickly inserted the USB drive into the microcomputer he carried with him, and a string of garbled characters immediately popped up on the screen.

Kudo Yuki looked at the screen with a frown on her face. "It's triple-encrypted data. It can't be cracked in a short time."

She turned her head and looked at the exit of the ventilation duct, where the roar of a car engine could be heard faintly. "Let's leave here first. Give the USB drive to Manager Kuroda and ask the technical department to help crack it."

The two knocked the man in black unconscious and hid in the corner of the ventilation duct. Kudo Yuki carefully opened the exit and observed the situation outside.

In the underground garage, all the fake police cars had been driven away, leaving only empty parking spaces.

"They should be going to the mine to prepare." Kudo Yuki whispered, "Let's drive that gray car and take the small road around there."

The two quickly ran to the gray car, Conan opened the door skillfully and started the engine. The car drove out of the underground garage and disappeared into the darkness before dawn.

At the same time, outside a mine 20 kilometers away from Nagano Prefecture, Rena Mizunashi hid behind a big tree and observed the situation at the entrance of the mine with a telescope.

Several men in black were busy moving boxes with eye-catching crow logos printed on them.

She took out her phone and saw the text message from Kudo Yuki. She replied with an encrypted message:

There is a secret door on the east side of the mine, which is less guarded.

She put away her phone and continued to pay close attention to the movements in the mine.

Kudo Yuki parked the car in the woods three kilometers away from the mine and tapped her fingers twice on the steering wheel.

Conan turned the watch gear to the left twice, and when he lifted his foot, the sole of his shoe rubbed against the ground without making any sound.

Shushu half stuck his body out of her pocket and pointed his chubby paw at the eastern wall: "The secret door is covered by vines!"

"Young guard on the east side." Kudo Yuki took out the night vision goggles and threw them to Conan, and wrapped the flying rope around his wrist, "You are responsible for guarding the rear, I will go to explore the way first."

She groped her way to the secret door in the dim light of dawn, and through her night vision goggles, she saw half of a crow badge visible in the cracks of the vine-covered rocks.

Kudo Yuki tapped the stone wall with her fingertips, and as soon as the rhythm of three long and two short taps ended, a sound of metal sliding came from the inside of the secret door. The muzzle of Mizunashi Rena's gun was the first to stick out, and the lens reflected the fluorescent mark on her shoulder.

"Seven minutes later than expected." Mizunashi Rena put away her gun and retreated into the shadows. There were fresh mud spots on the knees of her overalls. "There is a sound wave barrier on the second floor of the mine. Your communication equipment will not last more than five minutes."

Conan appeared silently behind Kudo Yuki, the sound of the gears turning was covered by the wind. He raised the micro scanner, and the red light outlined the structure of the mine on the rock wall: "The east passage has three branches, one of which leads directly to the transportation track on the third underground floor."

Kudo Yuki's fingertips brushed across the rat's trembling fur and stuffed it into the natural shelter woven by vines: "If you hear any unusual noises other than the sound of gears--"

She paused, her eyes flicking over Conan's red earlobe, "Prioritize protecting the people behind you."

Shushu patted the back of her hand with his chubby little paw, his round eyes reflecting the morning light: "Xiaoxue, be careful!"

Rena Mizunashi held Kudo Yuki's shoulders and pointed her gun at her head. Rock fragments fell and a conversation in German could be heard. She lowered her voice and said, "They are from MI6. They have been eyeing the mine three days ago, but they don't seem to know there is a secret door here."

Kudo Yuki took out the flying rope and glanced at the gear on Conan's wrist: "You take Mizunashi Reina to the west ventilation duct, and I will attract fire from the upper level. Remember, evacuate immediately when you hear three consecutive bird calls."

Conan was about to retort, but was dragged into the shadows by Mizunashi Rena. She made a "be careful" gesture to Kudo Yuki, and with the sound of gears turning, the two of them disappeared into the depths of the vines.

Kudo Yuki threw the zipline with her backhand and jumped onto the top floor of the mine.

The morning light shone through the collapsed cave entrance. Three freight cars covered with tarpaulins were parked on the railroad tracks. The wooden boxes exposed at the corners were printed with the gold-plated logo of "Karasuwa Group".

Kudo Yuki moved along the rock wall, and the soles of his boots rubbed against wet mud - not ordinary mineral soil, but a special coating mixed with chemicals, the same composition as the corrosive agent discovered in Nagano Trade before.

"Ding--"

The sound of metal colliding came from the left. Kudo Yuki turned around quickly and saw three black-clad men with face masks using a crane to move a container. The chains on the hooks reflected a cold light.

Mouse's scream pierced my eardrums: "West ventilation duct! Conan and the others are in danger!"

The flash bomb at Kudo Yuki's fingertips changed direction instantly, and the moment the white light exploded, she had already rushed towards the entrance of the pipe in the smoke.

The sound of gunfire mixed with the sound of gears turning came from the pipe.

Kudo Yuki lowered her body and ran wildly, the flying rope rubbing against the bend. It was not until she saw Conan staggering and using the gears to interfere with the enemy that her heart fell back into her chest - but the boy's pale face made her throat sour.

"Sister Xue! The bomb countdown is twenty minutes!" Conan kicked the anesthetic needle away, and the gears of his watch made a sharp clicking sound.

Mizuno Reina tore off the overalls and wrapped them around her arms, but she threw the bloody strip away and said, "There is an electromagnetically shielded secret room at the deepest part of the mine. The bomb control console is embedded in the third crack in the rock wall."

After saying that, he turned the handle of the gun, and the sound of the bullet being loaded resonated with the aftermath of the explosion in the distance.

Kudo Yuki stuffed the rat into Conan's pocket and said, "Take Sister Reina out. I'm going to defuse the bomb."

"No!" Conan held her wrist, the blue light of the gears flashing in his eyes, "Look at this--"

He held up the remote control he had seized from the man in black. A three-dimensional map of the mine was displayed on the screen, with red explosion points covering all exits. "This is a new type of chain bomb. If the main explosion point is not removed, the sub-bombs will multiply indefinitely."

Mizuno Rena suddenly pointed to the end of the track: "Look there!"

What appeared from the gaps in the containers were not cargo, but rows of nerve gas canisters. The production date on the labels exactly matched the launch time of the "ES Dark Amber" program.

Kudo Yuki gnashed her back teeth and took out the micro hacking device hidden inside: "Conan, use the sound of gears to create a three-second silence gap. Mizunashi Rena, cover me while I access the control system."

The sound of gears turning was as regular as a heartbeat, and Rena Mizunashi's gunshots accurately suppressed the approaching man in black.

Kudo Yuki took the opportunity to insert the device into the control terminal next to the track, and the code scrolled on the retinal projection like running water.

"Three more minutes!" Conan kicked the enemy away, and the gears of the watch suddenly got stuck - the parts overheated due to long-term use.

Mizunashi Reina knocked someone unconscious with the butt of her gun and pulled out a spare magazine from her waist: "Ms. Kudo, your left rear!"

Without even turning back, Kudo Yuki threw out the zipline, wrapped it around the attacker's neck and dragged him toward the control console. Just before the enemy smashed the terminal, she finally saw the green words "Unlock" pop up on the screen.

"Run!" She grabbed Conan and rushed towards the secret door, while Rena Mizunashi followed behind and fired a shot to detonate the gasoline barrels on the shelf.

An explosion sounded behind them, and the three men just rolled out of the secret door.

As the morning light pierced through the clouds, Kudo Yuki jumped out of the secret door carrying Conan on her back, and the roar of chain explosions was heard behind them.

She lowered her head to check the boy in her arms - Conan had developed a low fever due to using the gear device for a long time, and the gears of the watch were still hot, but she still stubbornly turned it two turns to the left to ensure that the pursuers could not locate him by the sound of his footsteps.

"Run to the east ridge." Mizunashi Reina's voice came from the communicator with an electric noise, "I have hidden the off-road motorcycle there."

Kudo Yuki was climbing the slope on the gravel. Her fingertips suddenly touched the rat in her pocket, who was patting her palm with his chubby little paws. "Xiaoxue! The transportation track at the bottom of the mine leads to the mountain. At the end there is a transfer station disguised as a logging site!"

"Rena Mizunashi, coordinates of the transfer station." Kudo Yuki panted against the rock and gently put Conan down.

"Sent." Mizunashi Reina's sniper scope swept across the distant logging site. "The crane is lifting the container, and the tire marks of the trucks show that a convoy left half an hour ago."

Conan's hot fingertips tightly grasped her sleeves, and the sound of the gears turning was like a whimper stuck in her throat.

Kudo Yuki's heart trembled - the red marks on the boy's wrist bones caused by the metal were more glaring than the bloodstains.

"Sister Xue...the gas canister is disguised as a health product..." Conan's breath sprayed on the back of her neck, and his hot forehead finally leaned weakly against her back.

Kudo Yuki held down the trembling hand with her backhand and resisted the urge to look back.

She took out her cell phone, and the encrypted map sent by Rena Mizunashi popped up on the screen. The red dot was moving along the county road towards the transfer station.

Kudo Yuki looked up at the mountains in the morning light. The chimneys of the logging camp spewed out pungent light blue smoke mixed with a strong smell of diesel - that was the exhaust fumes when the vehicles were started.

"They need to move ahead of time." Kudo Yuki carried Conan to the back seat of the motorcycle and pressed the headset, "Kenji, can you interfere with the traffic monitoring along the way?"

Hagiwara Kenji hit the enter key, and the traffic surveillance on the screen instantly switched to a static picture: "The surveillance has been replaced, and the nano tracker is in place."

Matsuda Jinpei put the flash bomb into his pocket and squinted at the dust in the distance: "Squad leader, do you really want to use yourself as bait?"

Ida Hang fastened the buckle of his bulletproof vest and scanned the marks on the ground with his tactical flashlight. "Manager Kuroda, please lead the team to intercept the convoy. We will guard the transfer station."

The roar of engines tore through the morning mist, and three camouflaged trucks came into view.

Hagiwara Kenji stared at the computer screen: "The target is within range - those tires are now mobile beacons."

Kuroda Bei's voice came from the headset, with a metallic coldness: "Kudo, the main convoy has entered Provincial Road 302. What's the situation on your side?"

Kudo Yuki held the headset, and the motorcycle was almost falling apart on the bumpy mountain road: "Conan's temperature is 38.7c, but the gear device is still working. Mizuno sent a message that there is an underground passage at the transfer station that leads directly to the port."

She caught a glimpse of the boy's pale face in the rearview mirror, and her Adam's apple moved slightly. "Tell the squad leader and others to pay attention to the ground markings. Those symbols that look like logging marks are actually the coordinates of the transportation nodes."

Conan's gear watch made a stuttering hum. He grabbed Kudo Yuki's wrist and said, "Under the third pine tree on the east side... The vent is made of titanium alloy tubes. Its hardness is comparable to that of bulletproof steel plates. Conventional tools cannot open it at all."

"Got it." Ida Kou crouched down and scanned the axe-shaped marks on the ground with his tactical flashlight. "Matsuda, bury the explosives under these marks. Kenji, hack into their underground navigation system."

Matsuda Jinpei's black hair was blown up by the morning breeze. "I've long wanted to try out the new and improved directional blasting - let them have a taste of what it's like when the tunnel they dug is blown up into the sky."

Kenji Hagiwara suddenly growled, "The main convoy has stopped on the winding mountain road! What are they waiting for?!"

The moment the brakes were applied, Kudo Yuki's temple began to throb.

In the rearview mirror, Conan's pale face overlapped with the stagnant convoy in the distance.

Kudo Yuki thought to herself: [Those people suddenly stopped. Was it a trap or did they smell their tracks?]

The mountain wind blew the mist towards her, but she could not feel the cold. She made a decision in her heart: "I must not let Conan take risks again... But if the poison gas is allowed to spread, I can only solve the problem first and then help him reduce his fever."

To be continued...
